What a weekend

This past weekend was pretty crazy, more for me than anyone else. I have been preparing for a primary activity for the past few weeks and Saturday was the day of the activity. Before Saturday rolled around we had a few visitors. First Greg ( Loren's brother) and his girlfriend Amy came for a visit. They got in late Wednesday night and stayed thru Saturday. It was fun having them around. They did the volunteer, give a day get a day at Disneyland. The kids jumped all over them and they even helped me finish up some of the last minute things for my activity. Friday night some friends came over from Albuquerque. They were our neighbors while we were there and our kiddos got along great. It was fun to see them again!
Saturday was the big activity. I had the primary kids act out a few bible stories. Noah and the ark, Daniel in the Lions den and David and Goliath. We did it in newscast form, called Prophets in the news. So there were 2 anchors and news reporters who went back in time to see what happened and interviewed some witnesses. A man in our ward recorded the newscast and is putting it together for us to watch. He had a big green screen so he could make it rain behind Noah's ark and put in other fun things. There will even be a commercial from President Thomas S. Monson (a blurb from a conference talk) The kids had fun and I can't wait for the video to be done so we can watch it in Primary. ABQ friends.

Young love.

These are the lion head peices I made for Daniel in the Lions den.

grandma idaho

It's that time of year again. My Mom was able to spend a few days with us last week. Loren had to go to Florida for work after we went to Disneyland. So we took him to the airport and picked up my Mom. Like always we had a great time. Thursday we went to shopping, of course, do you know my Mom? She does bring out the best in me. We finished up with lunch at Olive Garden. Friday we went to the zoo with Tyden's preschool. Saturday Brigg had his first tball game of the year. After that we got cleaned up and you guessed it, more shopping. We managed to get away that night, thanks to my babysitting swap and went out to dinner and even more shopping.
We watched a movie every night after the boys went to bed. We picked all the ones that Loren could care less about, so I have had my fill of chick flicks. I look forward to this time of year and I love the time we get to spend together.Save me Jax!
Jaxon loved all the attention he got from Me and my Mom at the zoo.

We joined Tyden's class for a snack and a story from his fabulous teacher.
My Mom got the boys the book Where the Wild Things Are.
This is our good bye shot. Looks just like last years good bye shot. It never lasts long enough.

Disneyland

We bit the bullet and took the boys to Disneyland and California Adventure this week. Loren had the week off and I did not have to babysit so we pulled the boys from school and hit the road. It was such a good time. While we were driving there, Brigg learned that his name also means "jail". When he called us idiots for naming him after a jail, we laugh so hard that our faces hurt.
One of the very first rides we took the boys on was the Tower of Terror. They had no idea what they were getting into but they did great! Brigg went on it again later with Loren but Jax and Tiny said they were ok. Tyden was such a champ! I think it scared him the most. Every ride we went on after that he would ask, "how many times will it go around?" or "are there any ups or downs?" But he went on every ride. They walked there little feet off and were so good.
We stayed in hotel and hit up Denny's for dinner and then enjoyed the hotel pool and hot tub before crashing in our beds. Tuesday morning we ventured into the the happiest place on earth. After giving up on the classic picture in front of Mickey Mouse we went straight over to Indiana Jones. Loren, Brigg and Tyden went first. I got to go by myself after that, because Brigg went into teenage mode and said he did not want to wait in line with me. Tyden was very nice and told me to duck when the big rock was coming towards me.
It was a great family trip and I hope the boys will all remember it. On our way!
Brigg is happy, he just acts like he is 16 and has attitude already.

Waiting for the Tower of Terror. They have no idea what is coming their way.

Now he is acting like a 6 yr old.

This was Tyden's face on every ride after the Tower of Terror.

California Screamin' with Brigg, his second time.

Splat!

Loren is not the picture taken kind. He does not like to ask other people to take our pictures and he can't stand posing for one. This is what we got. I have to learned to pick my battles. WHATEVER!

Cute kids!

They could not decide whether they wanted in or out. Either way we were ready to leave them there!

Loren and Jax flying high.
Tyden dancing in the streets with Chip or Dale, not really sure, but he loved it!
