The end of Kindergarten

Brigg's last day of kindergarten was yesterday. He had a wonderful year and I think like most Moms I am really attached to his teacher. Can't she just move up with him? She did a great job and Brigg has a real love for learning.
I was real nervous in the beginning because I thought he was to young. I am glad to say that he did very well. He has learned all the things that you normally learn in the big K plus he has developed a love for drawing. He also learned to love a schedule, and order. Two of my specialties...uh, uh.
This summer will be interesting.
We love our Brigg!!!

white trash or campout snobs?

Tyden was watching a cartoon last week and in the show the kids went camping in his back yard with his dad. Tyden runs to me and tells me that he wants to have a camp out in the back yard. So what do you do when your super cute kid asks you to do something fun, YOU DO IT!
Friday night we set up the tent in the backyard. We borrowed our neighbors fire pit for smores and such. We had some friends over for the roasting fun, it was great! Time for bed roles around and we still had not blown up our air mattresses. So we (I mean Loren) brought out the beds from the house. I have to admit I am not a lover of air mattresses, especially if I have to share with the hub. The moving, rolling and being able to feel every breath, ugh! I like my sleep. So this was quite cozy. I could definitely get use to sleeping like this in a tent. Now all we need to do is buy a huge truck so we can fit all the mattresses in it when we actually go camping out of our back yard.

First tooth

Brigg is very keen on following the rules when it comes to fantasy figures. ei..santa (remember the Christmas story with Santa) He lost his first tooth Friday morning, actually he let me pull it out. Loren and I were out that night when he went to bed so I told him to put the tooth under his pillow and we talked about the tooth fairy. We put his tooth in a bag so it would not get lost, and to make it easier for the tf to find it. I told him that we don't want it to fall on the floor and get lost or the tf might not leave him anything. (I know I'm mean) When the tf went in that night to make the swap, he was holding onto the bag very tightly.
Swap complete now it was time for sleep.
12:45 am Brigg comes running in to our room in tears. He tells me that he can't find his tooth and that the tf will get mad. I drag myself out of bed and we go looking for his tooth. Even in the middle of the night I have my Mom brain on. "Brigg maybe the tooth fairy already came." Then he finds his pack of gum and a dollar bill.
All is well tears are gone, back to sleep.
Like I said, he does not want to upset the fantasy money, gum, toy bringing people.Sunday morning he let me pull out another loose tooth.
