With our recent move from San Diego to Alamogordo I will not say things are better or worse in either place. I will simply say that they are different. I believe that things will be as good or bad as you make them so I am completely open minded.
We still have sand. Beautiful, fine, white sand that does not taste like salt. Perfect for sliding down on a saucer sled. There may not be an ocean at the end of it, but it will still leave a mess on the kids and the car just as well.
The Hub still makes me smile.

We still go to museums.

Still pregnant, 32 weeks. This one is better because we have AC. Sorry can't lie about that one.
We have different backyard visitors. Hopefully no more skunks and moles, now we have turtles. We will more than likely run into some tarantulas, snakes, and some vinegaroons (cockroach, scorpion combo, I think). For now we are pleased with the turtle who stayed for almost a day. The boys named it "Shelly."
While our park hopping parks may be few, we will still entertain the boys. Lowes and Home Depot kid Saturdays will fill the void quite nicely.
Ice cream is still a favorite treat.
We still play at the park and cover our friends with sand.
We will still go on day trips and explore our new surroundings.
So while our friends may be new and our town may be smaller, my family is still mine, The Church of Jesus Christ is still true and the sun still sets in the west.
