bout time!

For having 3 boys we have been fairly lucky has far as injuries go. Of course there are always the scrapes, bonks and bruises that come with everyday kid life, but so far nothing major. Last night Jaxon was or first serious cut/bleeder. Fresh out of the tub, I dried him off and wrapped him in his towel. Off he goes to find Loren to get in is jammies. Slips on the wood floor and takes it right on the chin. Nothing a little super glue and butterfly bandages won't fix.
I am sure that I have now jinxed my family and the flood gates will open,
let's hope not

One year older and wiser too!

Tyden had a great birthday! We went and picked up his little buddy from church and went to the park, then came back to the house and the boys jumped on the tramp with the sprinkler. Did I mention it was 100 degrees on Monday? YUCK! Finished up the day with pizza and cupcakes. His favorite present was Hungry hungry hippos. They don't make toys like they used to, we will see how long the toy survives in the Spencer house.
This past year has been loads of fun. Tyden has absolutely no fear when it comes to strangers. He is also very unaware that people have there own personal space, he is always in your face. What a lover this little one is. He often picks the wildflowers by the park and passes them out to all of the other moms there. At church one of the primary teachers asked him what our purpose was here on earth, Tyden responded "to snuggle!"
I am so thankful to be his Mom.

Easter

Happy Easter!

The boys were lucky enough to have two egg hunts this year. Saturday morning the Kiwanis put on a hunt at the park just up the hill from our home. They divide everyone into age groups and the kids go wild. All of the eggs are empty but then they turn the eggs in for a goody bag full of stuff. I thought that Tyden was going to stop as soon as he opened the first egg and there was nothing in there, he threw it back on the ground. I told him he would get his candy at the end so he continued on. Jaxon scored a prize egg and got a stuffed bunny, he was thrilled!

Sunday after church we did another hunt with our neighbors. We started in their back yard then continued over into ours. It was lots of fun watching the boys follow each other around. Later that night we had them over again for a BBQ. We are so fortunate to have such great friends living right next door! Brigg and Dylan are in the same kindergarten class at school, so they are pretty good buddies. Brody and Jaxon are also the same age. It is pure chaos when we all get together but it sure is fun!

spring break staycation

It was our first official spring break. To celebrate, Loren took the week off of work and we partied hard. We kicked off the week with a little Legoland, then the beach, next came the Science center. (with the crazy elevator) Everyday we packed our lunch bags and headed out the door. The boys loved having Dad around all day long. (So did I actually) Anytime Loren sat down the boys would jump on him demanding a wrestling match. We finished the week back at Legoland. We were still in the parking lot when we snapped this picture perfect pose.

I guess they had a good week too!

"Jaxon did you eat your breakfast bar already, did you put it in your tummy?"..."no"..."where did you put it then?"..."in my mouth." -Dah

"Tyden come eat your dinner."... " no thanks Mom, I'm good"..."it will make you big and strong"..."no"..."it will put hair on your chest"..."oooooh, ok I am coming."

At Walmart the other day I was browsing in the jammy and undie section for a new sports bra. I had all the boys with me and I did not really think they understood the whole thing. Then I hear Brigg say, "How you doing?" (yes he sounded like Joey from FRIENDS) and he was pointing his fingers at one of the fancy bras...I guess he does get it.
