These past few weeks have flown by. Rundown...Brigg is toothless, took the boys to a Padre game, watched 4th fireworks from the top of Loren's hospital, museums, date with the hub, numerous library trips, swimming, sprinklers, beach, bbq's with friends and enjoying having our daddy home.

It was a byom bbq, they just had to help us put the bbq together if they wanted it cooked.

He's home. I love this man, he never ceases to amaze me.

The last few weeks

Brigg finished the 1st grade. He was lucky enough to miss the last 2 days of school so we could go to Mesa for Uncle Greg's wedding on the 19th. Loren flew over from San Fran to be there for the weekend. Most of the weekend was spent decorating the church and spending time with all of the family. We did manage to take the boys to Toy Story 3 and even snuck out for a lunch date. The wedding was great and the reception was fabulous! That Sunday was Father's day and I was so glad that Loren was with us so we could love on him a little.

The boys and cousin Cheycee were coloring so nicely on paper one minute, then their faces the next. We tried to put and end to it, then Grandpa got home from work and joined in on the fun.

They put on a circus in the back yard and rode the scooters around the neighborhood.

The markers did say washable but I don't think they were tested on sweaty little kids faces. This was what they looked like after the first wash. Thankfully all of the swimming we did eventually took care of the rest.

While we were there I put the kids in swim lessons with a neighbor. Brigg already knows how to swim but I still felt it was important. Tyden has also had a few lessons but he was not super comfortable yet. For some reason he totally froze up and freaked out. He panicked the whole week. Finally on the last day he snapped out of it and swam no problem at all. He swims like a frog with wide legs which is not how they normally teach you to swim, but it is how he is the most comfortable. Jaxon did so stinkin well. He turned into a fish on his first day.

The Spencer's have a chicken pen. In this pen was 4 chickens, 3 rabbits and 1 duck. My kids love these animals and I am always worried that they (Tyden mostly) will love them to death. Greg took the duck in a few years ago after my mother in law's class was done hatching eggs at school. We thought Louie was a boy until after a year he started laying eggs like the chickens. Anyways while we were there Louise died. The door to the coop got shut and she was trapped inside and I think she got dehydrated. I don't know if my boys were responsible but I felt really bad. If you know me at all, then you know that I cried. I am a cry baby. I cry at anything and everything, and I can't hide it either. Let's thanks Bruce and Patti for that one.

We had a great time in AZ. Our skin was dried out and sun kissed by all of the sun and swimming we enjoyed. We had lots of play time with cousins and friends. Brigg keeps asking when we will move back there. Guess the heat doesn't bother him.

Where have I been

I have never taken a break for this long on the blog before. It is a little daunting to think about catching up. There are things that I don't want to forget.

For the past year and a half I have had the blessing of babysitting this sweet little boy. This past February I was lucky enough to watch his sister too. My time has come to an end with this family, they have moved to another state. Watching these 2 kids has been such a blessing to my family. It has helped us enjoy some of things that San Diego has to offer. These kids have also taught my kids how to share. Share their toys, time and Mom. This is a military family and I wish them nothing but the best for the future. These kids will always have a place in my heart.
