Funny things are going on at our house. Jaxon figured out that Loren is actually gone, as in out of town. Not just really busy at work. There have been a few times over the years when the boys have not seen Loren for days because he left before they woke up and came home after they were in bed. So I completely understand why Jax was confused.
At church the kids are practicing a song to sing for the dads on Father's day. The teacher asked the kids to imagine where their dads will be sitting and sing really loud for them. Tyden blurts out that he doesn't have a dad. This is not the first time he has said this, the other time was to my mother in law a few weeks ago.
Ok so these things are not really funny, because we are lucky enough to have a daddy. I just think it is funny how kids understand things.
Uncle Darren and Uncle Brian came for a visit with some of their friends this past weekend. They were nice enough to let us tag along with them to the beach. I have never enjoyed the beach more. I was able to relax and enjoy the sun while the uncles entertained my kids. Brian dug a hole for Brigg and buried him and proceeded to make him look like a lady in the sand by building him sand boobies. Brigg thought this was hilarious! A few minutes later he comes and tells me that a fly just landed on my boob. Thanks uncle Brian for teaching my kid the word BOOB! (Byron, stop laughing.)Back to my window. We were late for pick up yesterday so I rushed all my chickens out the door. Tyden and Jaxon were running to the car asking about their shoes. I said they would be fine, ah! After the window broke I took it down to the closest auto body shop because I did not want it to fall in on my little babysitting friends. They said they could replace it right away, obviously I could not wait there with 5 kiddos. It is close enough to walk home but out of the walking children only one had shoes on, Brigg. I started laughing because I could just hear my dads voice saying "you never know what could happen, you should always be prepared."
Well these things might only be funny to me, whatever.
4 weeks to go!!!
