WE MOVED...again.

Rewind to the beginning of this summer...we moved!
We bought a home here in town and we are in love. I am not going to lie, I was not sold on this house in the beginning. Loren was definitely more excited than I was about the house. Plus don't even get me started on the super long drawn out process it was just to close on this place! Whew...It is so good to be in my very own home again and do all of the fun things that I want to do with it and not have to ask any rental company permission. The summer was full of projects and we are still working hard to make this house our own. I will do more pictures of all of the hard work later but for now, please enjoy this picture of Loren professionally installing our dishwasher from the store.

Something to remember

I am way behind and I have every intention of getting caught up but right now I want to remember this....

We moved into a new house a few months ago and our back gate is a little tricky. We have chores around here and some of those are taking out the trash which needs to go in the back alley. So the gate does not always get closed the right way, even if it does our little Codee pup can squeeze right thru. This has happened before and usually she stays close to home and always returns when we call her.

This morning the boys and I were getting ready to leave for church, I asked Jaxon to call Codee in and put her in her kennel. She did not come. We all went out and searched the yard and walked out into the alley calling her name...nothing. We quickly jumped in the car and started driving around, by this time Jaxon was balling hysterically. We drove slowly and called her name and peeked into every yard. My fear was that I was going to find her in the road at the end of the alley. We drove back to the house to see if she had returned with no such luck.

I asked the boys if they would like to say a prayer, all of them were crying at this point. I said a quick and simple prayer, putting it into our Heavenly Father's hands. We drove out of the alley again and We saw a man walking his dog and I asked him if he had seen ours. He pointed in the direction he last saw her and we quickly drove off in that direction going down a street we had already been on before. At the end were a few different people gathered around a dog, our dog!!!

The kids all jumped out and gave her a big hug and we loaded her up to take her home. I ran her into the house and put her in her kennel. When I came back out to the car, Jaxon said thru his happy tears, "I am so glad Heavenly Father helped us find Codee!" I told the boys that He will always help us, it might not be in the  exact way we want but he will help us. We said another prayer and thanked our Father in Heaven for his help.

I am so very thankful that this turned out the way it did, that Codee was fine when we found her and that my boys will have this wonderful faith building experience.
