ROCKS!

Tyden and rocks have a great relationship. Tyden has enjoyed their company from the moment he could move around outside on his own. He would eat dirt and rocks all the time and then wash it down by licking water from a puddle. When he was 2 1/2 he held a rock in his hand and drug his hand all the way around our neighbors car in ABQ. Our neighbors Mustang has original Tyden pin stripping. He was nice enough not to worry about it. You might recall last summer Tyden dropping a rock on his foot. I often find rocks in the house colored nicely by Tyden.

I love my Tyden, he is one of a kind.

Last night at Brigg's tball game Tyden and rocks got into some trouble. Tyden was throwing rocks down a hill, where someones brand new Ford Flex was sitting helplessly. I have to say that this person had parked illegally and kids often throw rocks down this hill. With that being said, my child still did something wrong. He also had a accomplice this time, Jax. All in all there were 5 dings in her paint. 3 admitted by Tyden and 2 by Jaxon. Tyden apologized to the lady and then Loren drug both of the boys home by their ears.

I was fuming the entire rest of the game, mad at my children and ticked at this lady for making such a big deal. My opinion is cars are meant to be driven. When cars are driven they are loved by other rocks that might get flicked up by other cars. In parking lots they could get dinged by other car doors. If you want your car to stay pristine then leave at home under a blanket in your garage and hope your house doesn't catch on fire. I know my kids did something wrong, but I know they did not have evil intentions.

When the game was over another poor little girl was also caught throwing rocks down the same hill and hit the same Ford Flex. I thought that was funny.

I was fuming and irritated all night. After the kids went to bed I grabbed a hand full of Oreos and sat in the tub. I am still irritated, more with myself for being so upset with my kids. After all, no one was hurt and it is just money, that I don't have, but just the same. I need to get over it. I think I will be finishing that bag of Oreos, I don't even like Oreos.

Tyden's Five

We enjoyed pizza, presents and cup cakes the night before his birthday, because Loren had to work the next day.

Loren's Dad asked Tyden what he wanted for his birthday and Tyden spouts out that he wants a big giant teddy bear. News to me, but sure enough Grandpa delivered. He was thrilled!!!

Tyden is so easy to please.

He is obsessed with coloring or painting. So I thought it was funny when we went to his school during recces and he was sitting down and painting.

He wanted "ice" crispie treats for his treat at school. This is the first time I have had to take bday snacks to school. Brigg's is in the summer so I don't have to worry about it. His teacher has cute birthday plates for all of the special days and even a #5 candle.

When the class was done singing to him, he said with a happy sigh, "that was wonderful." Tyden is one very expressive little boy.

Jaxon loved hanging out at the school, so did my baby sitting kiddos.

When we asked him what he wanted to do for his birthday he said he wanted his two bestest buddies to come over after school and have hot dogs for lunch, easy enough. Like I said, easy to please.

These 4 are quite the crew.

Tyden is one special little boy. He is very tender and very aware of others feelings. That doesn't mean he is always nice to others, but he is very sweet. He is super, super busy. It is important to remember to keep him doing something or trouble will happen. He is very good at entertaining himself and has a very curious nature. He has recently learned how to ride a 2 wheeler, but he still puts his pants on backwards sometimes. You can count on Tyden to be the last one eating at the dinner table (he puts up the biggest stink about not wanting to "eat that.") He always wants the lights on while we are watching a movie because he wants to color too. He is my blue eyed boy and I think he is super handsome, of course all my boys are.

No kids cruise

Yes there were kids on the ship, but none of them were ours. Loren and I took our first ever, non moving, house looking, funeral going, wedding attending kid free trip. In other words this was our first trip we planned to take just for us. Our ten year is coming up in November so we thought this would be a good time. That and next year is going to be crazy for Loren at work because it is his last year of residency.

Loren's parents came over for the weekend to spoil, I mean take care of our kids. Friday we took off from San Diego Harbor. Saturday we spent at sea, then Sunday we docked in Ensenda, Mexico. When we woke up Monday morning we were back to our real life in San Diego.

The ship itself was really dated, like an off the strip Vegas hotel. But I never had to cook or clean so it was fine with me. The food was never ending and there was always something to do. We watched dolphins swim behind the boat while we were sitting in the hot tub. We relaxed in the sun for hours and people watched. (my favorite) We enjoyed comedy shows, bingo, karaoke, game shows, and one of those shows were the girls dance with feathers things on their heads. In Mexico we took a bus ride to La Buffadora. One of the few blow holes in the world. We walked around the market and looked at all the shops. The vendors would say, "come in and buy stuff you don't need." We had a nice lunch with a great view and could not refuse the man with the guitar who sang us a romantic love song for one dollar.

While we were in Mexico there was an earthquake, we were on the boat and did not notice. My kids did not notice it either and I am glad. I have yet to feel any quake at all since we have lived in SD, I guess that is a good thing.

It was so nice to have my hub all to myself. He didn't mind it either.
