Our trip, by Claire

We started our journey by driving to Las Vegas where we stayed at Circus Circus. While we were there we went swimming, walked some of the strip. We thought it would be fun to see the Pirate show at Treasure Island, much to our surprise it is no longer a cute kid friendly pirate show. Wish we had known, we would have stayed in our hotel and forked out the money and let them ride the roller coaster.

We got to Boise just in time to make my dad some of Loren's famous rice crispie treats before he got home from work for his 57th birthday.

The kids got to ride the bumper cars and had their fun with all of the arcade games with Gma and Gpa Idaho.

Always a favorite, jumping off the swings. Boise has some of the coolest parks!

Tyden, Gma, Brigg and Gpa checking out the 8 foot sturgeon in the water.

Cool reflection picture.

After about a week we drove to Utah for a reunion with my family at my brothers house. Before we got there, we stopped off at Byron and Jana's house for a fix with our favorite friends. We stayed up later than I have stayed up in a long time and laughed way to hard. They next day we said hello to some more fun friends, then on to my brother's house. All of the cousins under one roof for 3 days and it was a blast. My little bro and his family did not come because his new born was sick with RSV. So we are missing 2 kids. We cooked outside and ate our food in the garage, it was true Lungren style. We played basketball, soccer and kickball. Isaac turned 12 and Kamryn had a superb violin recital.

Before we took off for home, Tyden got to open his present from my parents and we sang the first of many happy birthdays to Tyden.

10 hours later we were home in our own beds. A lot of driving for some good ol family time, it is worth it but very hard at the same time. I wish we could get together more often. Brigg wants a telaporting device for Christmas so we can touch him and he can beam us to Idaho. Me too bud, me too.

ball of emotions

Where to begin? Really, I know there is nothing wrong...but I can't stop fretting about everything. I have to be honest, our computer is basically a dinosaur. It is so slow and I feel like I am disconnected from the things I love to do and read about. (really silly to worry about his one, but I can't even post pictures any more!!!)I am ready to move, you know get on with the next step in life. Then at the same time I am dreading the move. Packing, leaving friends behind, being pregnant and having to find a new doc, new home, new everything. When I drive by the park, I see those raggedy looking kids with super tight pants and long shabby hair and I worry that my boys will grow up and be just like those ciggy smoking kids at the park. I am worried that my unborn daughter will grow up and drive me crazy just like I did to my parents. I think my kids watch, play to much tv/games, yet I can't convince myself to pull the plug and kick them outside. Then I might actually have to play with them. I worry I don't play with my kids enough. I think I could list a million things that I am fretting over at this particular moment. Now on to some happy thoughts. We are going to Idaho and Utah for the next 2 weeks. Loren gets to be with us the entire time, he makes everything better.
